Legal Security The first panel was composed of the Coordinator of Energy and Mining, Daniel González, and the Secretary of Mining, Luis Lucero, who presented a renewed scenario of legal security and highlighted the implementation of the RIGI and legislative advances, such as the adaptation of the Glaciers Law. Diego Sucalesca, head of the Investment Agency, also participated, referring to the promotional strategy he carries out to link national sector companies with large international ones. During the meeting, González described the RIGI as an extremely powerful tool that provides 30 years of stability. Meanwhile, the CEO of Vicuña Corp., Ron Hochstein, spoke about the potential of the Vicuña district and stated that the current economic stability positions Argentina as a competitive destination for copper investments. During his presentation, the executive highlighted the role of San Juan in mining development and noted that the current scenario opens opportunities for large-scale projects. The Vicuña district, which includes Josemaría and Filo del Sol, appears as one of the sector's main bets. The most important mining convention With over 27,000 attendees from more than 125 countries and regions, the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) mining convention began here on Sunday and will run until March 4. It had its first edition in 1932 as a small meeting of prospectors and explorers who sought to create a support network to sustain them during the Great Depression. Since then, the convention has been held almost every year, except at the end of World War II.
