A Canadian woman shared her experience to warn others after she gave away $50,000 to a charlatan’s intermediary, who promised her to start a romantic relationship with a man she liked at her fitness club.
"I gave her everything she needed," said Joan Uilan from Toronto. She started visiting the intermediary in the fall of 2013 after a divorce and initially thought it was fun, but later discovered it was all a lie.
The intermediary took $550 from her for "services." Then, subsequent requests for additional payments were made to attract the man through magic. Uilan transferred about $50,000 to her, as well as cash, which the intermediary directly demanded.
After the magic didn’t work and the man didn’t pay attention to her, she accused the intermediary: "I’m paying you thousands of dollars, and nothing is happening."
The intermediary's name is Yulia. In response to the request to return the money, Yulia stated that Uilan did not follow the instructions, and therefore did not receive the promised results.
